Red pink is a good almost fast food option of Peruvian food. The meals are usually ready quickly after you order them. I like to order the Lado wrap. I'm one of those people that can't stand cilantro so I'm able to get it without and I usually add a little extra steak to it. The steak is tender and the sauce they put on it is what makes the wrap! Try it if you haven't!

I first heard about this place when I started university, and it's been a few years since my last visit. Since I was in the area today, I decided to drop by, and I'm so glad I did. My dad and I arrived around 2pm, and it was pretty quiet inside. The lady at the register was kind and patient, letting me take my time deciding what to order. After some indecision, I settled on the Camaron Saltado Peruvian-style bowl, while my dad chose the Tallarin Saltdo with beef. I also ordered their fried plantain, a childhood favorite that I rarely find on menus. While we waited, I admired the wall art and unique framed pieces. There was plenty of seating, and everything was relatively clean. Watching the chefs work on our meals, with the flames blazing in the kitchen, was quite entertaining. The wait for our food wasn't too long, and when it was ready, we picked it up from the front. I was genuinely impressed by the food. My shrimp was flavorful, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked, and I loved the sauce drizzled over my bowl. My dad's dish was also delicious, with a strong soy sauce flavor and perfectly tender beef. The portion sizes were generous, and I honestly wasn't sure if I could finish everything. The fried plantain was a standout, tasting just like my childhood, and now I want to learn how to make it myself. Overall, this spontaneous visit to the restaurant was enjoyable, and I'll definitely be back!

Think of a better version Chipotle, but with Peruvian flavors and the color scheme of Jimmy Johns, then you've got Red Panka. Bowls, burritos, tacos, and salads, all packed with flavorful sauces, Red Panka is a great option for when you want something fast, but don't want to feel guilty afterwards. I got the shrimp Panka bowl and thought the aji sauce had a decent kick. They also include a pretty generous drizzle on top, so if you're slightly sauce-averse like myself, consider asking for it on the side. My bowl was a little lacking on the amount of shrimp, but they were well seasoned and grilled to perfection. Next time I might ask for more lettuce and less rice, to meet my preferences. They offer 2 types of bowls which have the same base (romaine lettuce, rice--white or brown, and beans--black or pinto) but the Panka style features a corn salsa vs the Peruvian style which has sautéed tomato and red onion. A surprisingly amount of variety for pescatarian and and vegetarian options here (ceviche, shrimp, tofu saltado, quinoa salads, plantains, etc). Don't expect much in terms of ambiance, but the food will keep you coming back for more.
